Merry Churros con Chocolat!!

It's cold outside why not indulge in something warm and chocolate-ty this yuletide season!
Now go to your kitchen and pull out these ingredients:

(You'll be seeing series of blurry photos so please be patient! I was actually planning to do another video on how to do this but unfortunately my tripod got broken </3 So, I tried taking decent photos along the way but it was so hard! That's why it's kinda blurry! Sorry! But I tried! )

*1 cup water
*2 1/2 tbsp. sugar (white or brown it does not matter)
*1/2 tsp. salt
*2 tbsp. vegetable oil
*1 cup all purpose flour
*20 grams chocolate
*Oil for frying

I suggest you wear apron 'cause it's gonna be a messy work!
After putting on your super high fashion apron, go ahead and put a sauce pan at medium heat.
Combine water, sugar, salt, vegetable salt, and all purpose flour inside the sauce pan and just mix until all clumps are gone!!

A picture reference of what to expect! :D

Just mix mix mix! Until it forms a big sticky ball.

I was serious when I told you I have blurry pictures. LOL. Sorry.

After that, turn off your stove and put your sticky churros ball into a piping bag, or like in my case I dont have a piping bag present at that moment so I just put mine on a bowl. And let cool for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

Cool down inside the ref!!! :D

After 30 minutes, make sure that you already have a sauce pan with oil for frying. If you used piping bag, just go ahead and pipe down your churros. But if you're just like me, wash your hands and start rolling your sticky ball.

This is what I did with mine. I know it looks like human fingers.. creepy.

After that just fry it.

Fry fry away!!

While frying, get a microwave proof bowl and put your chocolate there and melt in the microwave. (Quick tip: Don't wait for your chocolate to totally melt inside the microwave because it will burn. I suggest keeping an eye on it and when you feel like it's hot enough pull out your bowl and just mix the remaining unmelted chocolate. It'll melt eventually.) And if you're feeling a bit fancy and there are no microwave available at the moment I suggest you make a double boiler.  Here's how.
(Quick tip: Sometime I mix all purpose cream on my melted chocolate just to make the taste more light most especially if you're using a dark chocolate.)

I used the ever famous microwave method! Cause I was too lazy to use a double boiler. LOL.

After melting set aside and finish frying your human fingers.. LOL. I mean, churros.
Make sure that it is golden brown. And then viola! Your very own homemade Churros con Chocolat! How classy.

I know I did a very horrible presentation on this one. I was so in a hurry to eat.. sSorry. :D

I think this is best served on Christmas morning! The smell of chocolate.. ughh! Heaven! I hope you guys enjoy!! And tag me if ever you tried this!! Will love to see your work :*

Love, Isha
