Effective Studying Tips!

Hi Gorg! I'm so happy to be blogging right now. I know, i know.. it has been decades since the last post (exaggerated much?!  ) I have a valid reason so please bear with me. I have been very busy with life ( Well, I always am! Like every freaking post! I say that! HAHA sorry) But anyway, enough with my non sense blabbing. We all know that school has already started (atleast here in the Philippines) and exams and quizzes are on their way, I know some of us might not be into hardcore reviewing so I'm going to list down some "Effective Studying Tips" that I personally do:

* Enough Sleep - Yes, sleep. Your mind will not function properly if you're not going to give it a rest. So if I were you, I'd have a good night sleep and wake up earlier than you usually do and start reviewing. Your mind is so refreshed and so ready to learn, you will swear by this method!

* Enough Food - Uhuh, food. You might want to eat first before studying because you can't focus properly with an empty stomach (Well, it's like that for me. High five if you're like that too!! ) All you could ever think about is food...and headache or stomach ache. Either you're on a diet or you  just forgot to eat, you gotta have to put something inside your body first to fully function.

* Eager to Learn - If you're a GC (grade conscious) just like me then you know you're in it for the goal (to pass the exam or quiz) but if you lack motivation, contemplate about what you're doing and must embrace it. You can't do good if you don't love what you're doing.

* Clear Mind - I don't think I need to further talk about this. You must first make sure that you're focused on reviewing only.

* Free of Gadgets - And to focus it means no gadgets while reviewing! You gotta have to focus darling. And gadgets gets your mind away from what you're doing. So, go ahead and leave that phone or tablet or laptop somewhere that you won't see it while you're reviewing.

* Most Effective Way To Remember - My style of remembering things are writing them down. So, I get a clean sheet of paper and make my own reviewer. Like everything you have to study about. Every freaking details are there. The other "method" that I use is flashcards I buy those index cards without lines (like index card size but blank...hope you do get what I'm trying to explain here! HAHAHA) and write the question on one side and the answer on the other. And challenge yourself! And If you don't prefer doing much effort, just try to highlight important things to remember straight from your book or manuals. (But srsly tho, this method doesn't work on me! )

Always remember, grades are just numbers written on paper. It can't measure a person's ability to do some other things. Now, go ace that exam darling!

How to become an Independent Girl

Credits to Owner.
Happy International Women's Day! And to celebrate this day I decided to push through this post that I have been delaying for so long already. This is the perfect day to publish this!

Here are some tips on how to became an independent woman/girl:

*Know What You Can Do

You don't have to be old enough to become independent. You can start as young as you could. Keep in mind that someday you'll live by yourself and you don't want to start feeling out of the world when you're alone. Start by knowing what you can do for now. Learning to do chores like washing the dishes, cleaning, and cooking. You don't need to let anyone do the job for you.

*Make Sure To Learn Things On Your Own

We wouldn't be called independent if we don't do things by ourselves.Learn new things or enhance the ones you already know. As much as possible, we do what we have to do. We don't have to rely on someone else to do something for us. Because independent woman/girl does the job herself.

*Being Alone Isn't A Problem

Being independent doesn't mean we are always alone. It's just that there will be times that we will be ALONE. And that thought shouldn't terrify us. We can get through anything by ourselves. We always have to think that we only have ourselves and to love ourselves. And there is nothing wrong with ME MYSELF AND I.

*Time And Money Management

Not only we can manage to be alone or to do stuff by ourselves. We also have to learn to manage our time and money. We have everything planned. Most especially our time. We will be one of those people who have their shizt together. We don't slack cause we have to finish everything.  Being independent doesn't have to mean that you have to provide for yourself. Even if we receive cash from our parents or still living under the same roof with your parents doesn't mean we can't be considered as independent gals.

*The Perfect Mind Set

We always have to think ahead of everything. Not just on what to eat later but thinking about more further like the future. We always see ourselves being successful so we strive for the best. We don't just "go with the flow" we manage the flow. We don't settle for less.

*Be that STRONG woman/girl

We're not perfect there will be times where we will fail. But no matter what happens, even if someone brings us down, we will still get up and continue life. Because we're STRONG. We're build to bring ourselves up. Being independent comes with being strong. Being strong enough to weather the storms.

Being a Strong Independent woman/girl takes a lot of courage. But don't be terrified, you might thank yourself in the future for becoming that. Don't forget to love yourself first and everything will follow.

Going SOLO

Hello gorg! How's life recently? Me, I moved to a new place for studying purposes. Yep, that's why I'm doing this post. I haven't been here for a week but I surely learned a lot of things already. I sure did adjust a lot in the last 5 days that I've stayed here.

Are you moving to a new place too? Here's some tips to get you started:

*LOOK FOR A DECENT PLACE TO STAY IN
What I mean by decent is a place where you will feel safe (I mean a place that's really safe) and comfortable. You might not want to settle in an environment that is dirty, right? We still want to feel at home. Try looking for a dorm/apartment that has security guards or CCTV cameras. This way you'll feel more safer mostly at night.

*START PREPARING 1 WEEK BEFORE MOVING
Surely you've seen the place you're going to move in. Think of the things you will need if you are there. Of course, let's not forget the necessities. Are you allowed to cook inside the dorm/apartment? Or bring pets? Those things you have to know and consider. Make sure to make a list of the things you'll need so won't forget anything.

*CHECK YOUR LIST THE NIGHT BEFORE YOU MOVE IN
JUST BECAUSE YOU WOULDN'T LIKE TO FORGET SOMETHING. Just to be sure.

*CLEAN YOUR PLACE
When you get to your place, make sure you brought with you all purpose cleaners. You might want to scrub the floor, walls and the CR. Every inch of your place. If you're like an OC like me when it comes to cleanliness.

*PERSONALIZE YOUR SPACE
Decide where to put your things. Your tables, bed, appliances. Make sure you have efficient space. Nobody enjoys a crammed place.

*ROAM AROUND OUTSIDE YOUR PLACE
You wouldn't stay inside forever! You have to know the things around you. You have to be aware of everything since you're new to the place. Adapt the environment and how people do their things.

*LOOK FOR NEARBY RESTAURANTS, TRANSPORTATION, HOSPITAL, OR COFFEE SHOP
You just have to know.

*BE ATTENTIVE
You have to pay attention to everything that is happening around you. It is hard to be in a place that you don't know anyone. Don't stay out late at night. You don't want to end up getting raped or kidnapped right?

It really is a lot of adjusting and it's not just with the place but also with the environment and the people around you. Maybe a month is still a short time time to say that you've finally adjusted. The first few days you got sent off will be the worst ones. I mean it. You'll cry and feel lonely most of the time especially when you don't know someone. But you'll slowly realize that living alone is a good thing (If you're used to being independent tho. Some people just aren't used to being alone) It will make you grow. Being independent feels like you've finally come out of your comfort zone. And that is what makes you a better person.

You got it gorg!

How to Make this Year a Good One!

Credits to the Owner of the photo. "QUEEN TAY" <3

All of us just wants a good year. Who wouldn't, right? But what is the secret to a happy year? I asked the same question myself. That is how I ended up writing this post.

  THINK POSITIVE
There is nothing more better than thinking the positives in everything! Life will be much easier for all of us if we just seek the good in everything. It may be something big or small, always accept it positively. This year won't be a good one if you keep attracting bad vibes, right?

  SET GOALS
We should always set our goals so we will know what we want to achieve. We wouldn't like a year that is unplanned, right? We don't want to end this year saying that we didn't accomplish even a single thing. Because what we want is to get all things done and feel proud of ourselves about all the things we've done.

   STAY FIT/HEALTHY
Being fit is like the new trend. Everybody wants that killer body! So this year why don't we start making things happen? Make ourselves comfortable in our own skin by working out and staying fit. Not just being fit but to be healthy too! Go to gym. Take a short run around your place. There are endless ways to stay fit. Go cut that carbs, too! Why not try eating more fruits and vegetables and less junk foods and fast foods.Gone will be the days where you just feel envious of those girls with fit bodies. (But it will still be your choice if you want to. :D )

  DO WHATEVER YOU LIKE
This year, nobody will ever tell you what you have to do! This is going to be your year, claim it! If you want to dye your hair, do it! Cutting it short? DO IT! Deciding to shift courses? DO IT! DO IT! DO WHAT YOU WANT! All we want is to let this year be the most memorable and awesome one 'cause we literally did everything that we wanted! NO REGRETS!

ACCEPT THE FACT THAT PROBLEMS WILL COME
One thing is for sure, IT WILL COME..AND IT WILL GO. Don't let your year be spoiled by being too depressed our whatever. Problem is not a permanent thing!

   STAY STRONG AND SMILE
And ofcourse, you have to stay strong. This year will be like any other year, it will be a rough ride and you just have to sit tight and hold firmly. But we have to make the best out of everything even the worst things. To find happiness we should go thru a lot of tough things so we better be strong. Just shake it off and smile then shout, "I'M AWESOME AND THIS YEAR IS GONNA BE A GOOD ONE!!!"

But it will all be up to us. Either we make it or break it. But know by heart that all we want is to let this year be a memorable one. A good one.

Wishing you a GREAT year!!

Love lots, Isha <3

Things that we love about the Holiday Season!

Beautiful Angel ornament on our Christmas Tree.

Cheers for the Holidays!!!! Christmas season is here and I'm soooo excited! And to start off our holiday related posts I'll be listing down things that makes us love this season!!!

1. The Cold Weather!
-You know that Christmas is just around the corner when you feel cold chills at sunsets and cold refreshing breezes in the morning! I love the chilly season, it's like a break from our usual hot humid weather. And it feels super refreshing. I just love it so much.

2. Decorating
- I'm not into putting up Christmas decorations or what ever work that requires energy (LOL. lazy me )  but I know that decorating is part of the "Christmas-is-just-around-the-corner" feels and I know most of our moms loves doing this and, well, what do we expect we're forced to help them decorate. (LOL. I srsly used "forced" HAHAHAHA ) And, oh my gosh, after all the forced work, we just stand there looking at your finished work and damn feels of Christmas.  I love feeling Christmas-y!

3. Christmas Songs
- Christmas songs has always been part of our Christmas decorating tradition (Is it just our family or yours too? LOL.) We would play Christmas songs while decorating so that we'll feel more Christmas-y or whatever. We just do that  HAHAHA. I remember as a kid, after decorating the whole house, me and my cousins will start dancing and singing just having a good time and it was the best childhood memory ever! (that's the reason why I love Christmas )

4. Buying Gifts
- I love buying gifts for family and friends... except when I don't have cash to spend. LOL!
I love the idea of buying something for someone and it just makes me feel like I seriously know them that I could buy gifts for them. And you should know that if I give a gift to you on Christmas you're someone close to me.

5. Receiving Gifts
-Who doesn't love receiving gifts on Christmas? Just the thought that somebody remembers you is enough to make you feel happy.

6. Bonding with your Family
-Christmas is the perfect time to bond with your family. Take this opportunity to spend time with them. Collect memories and spread love.

7. Eating Scrumptious Meals!!!
-And yes it is this time of the year again where diet doesn't exist. (and why would you even stop yourself from eating yummy yummy extra yummy foods??) An excuse to eat eat eat and eat a lot!  I wouldn't even have regrets afterwards.

I LOVE HOLIDAY SEASON!!HAPPY DECEMBER 2ND EVERYONE!!

Tips on "How to be Happy"

Hah! Finally out of my PMS mood (slightly out tho. LOL.) Anyway, I'm feeling much more inspired now than yesterday. And I'm not feeling well and I'm typing this while waiting for my meds to kick in. Sooo, I better make this quick or I'll be drowsy any minute now.

It's hard to force yourself to be happy. Like being happy should come the natural way.. But hey there's things you can do to be happy!

*SLEEP MORE! - This one is a scientific tip tho. I read that if you get enough sleep you're more likely to be in a good mood when you wake up.  So, go ahead and complete your 8 hour sleep and feel much better when you wake up.

*EAT WHATEVER YOU WANT! - Let's be real eating just makes us more happy. So and make yourself the food you have been craving for weeks! or go out and go eat at your favorite restaurant. It'll boost your mood immediately.  I say no to diet.

*GO OUT WITH FRIENDS! - Well, do I have to explain this further?  We all know hanging out with the people we ca be anything with can easily make us happy.

*HAVE QUALITY TIME WITH YOUR FAMILY! - Yes. Go ahead and start having conversations with your family while eating dinner. Our tell your parents to arrange a get away for the whole family.

*GO READ A GOOD BOOK! - Good books=Good Mood

*WRITE A JOURNAL! - Go ahead and write your heart out. Write about all the things that's keeping you from being sad and down. Just write everything. And afterwards you'll feel more happier and light.

*WATCH A FEEL GOOD MOVIE/ROMANCE COMEDY MOVIE - or whatever movie that you think will make you feel happy. Just laugh, cry, or cringe 'cause of cheesiness (is there such a word??? :D )

*LISTEN TO MUSIC - The ones you know that will make you feel light and dancey. Happy. Just go and play that music super loud and sing with it! (you can dance too if you like )

*GO GET A PET - This is true. Super legit. I testify to this  Having a pet makes you extra more happy and less depressed. I don't know how these animals do it but it really works. Just make sure that before getting one you know all your responsibilities and how to properly take care of your chosen pet.

JUST THINK THAT YOU'RE HAPPY. MAYBE THAT'LL WORK. LOL  Just don't always push yourself on being happy. It's always normal to have your bad days. And bad days are ok. But if you think you've had enough of those horrible sad sad sad days then at least do one of those things listed above (or maybe do everything just to be sure ) Have fun and enjoy!

Oh, and don't forget to always SMILE. I think that's where 'happy' starts.

LOVE, ISHA
